ATX Defense to provide Golden Dome for America subcontractors one year of CMMC Space at no cost

Army NCODE funding will cover access for eligible small businesses supporting
Golden Dome for America prime contractors

AUSTIN, Texas—July 21, 2026—ATX Defense announced that eligible small businesses working as subcontractors on the Golden Dome for America program may receive one year of access to CMMC Space, the company’s cybersecurity compliance platform, at no cost to the subcontractor.

The offering is funded through ATX Defense’s position in the U.S. Army’s Next Gen Commercial Operations in the Defending Enclave, or NCODE, contract vehicle. The five-year, $49 million indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract is intended to help small businesses in the defense industrial base meet cybersecurity compliance requirements. Funding has been allocated to make CMMC Space available to eligible Golden Dome subcontractors.

Golden Dome subcontractors may be required to handle controlled unclassified information while delivering capabilities on accelerated timelines. For many small and nontraditional defense contractors, establishing and maintaining a compliant technology environment can require significant time, technical resources and investment.

The program is intended to reduce those barriers by providing eligible subcontractors with access to a secure environment designed to support compliance with applicable cybersecurity requirements.

Although certain Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification implementation milestones are under review, contractors handling Controlled Unclassified Information remain responsible for meeting applicable contractual and regulatory requirements, including requirements associated with Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement clause 252.204-7012 and National Institute of Standards and Technology Special Publication 800-171. Subcontractors handling CUI on Golden Dome still need a secure, compliant environment today, and prime contractors still need verifiable confidence in their supply chain.

CMMC Space is a secure enclave built on Google Cloud. The platform is designed to keep a company’s commercial systems outside its compliance boundary while supporting the implementation and management of NIST SP 800-171 security controls.

CMMC Space is used by more than 350 organizations, and more than 90 defense contractors using the platform have achieved CMMC Level 2 certification. The platform includes Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 GCC High licenses configured to support CMMC Level 2 requirements.

Eligibility
The program is available to:

• Small businesses performing as subcontractors at any tier under a Golden Dome for America prime contractor.
• Companies that handle or expect to handle CUI in support of Golden Dome work.

Enrollment
Eligible companies must provide verification of their participation in the Golden Dome program. Enrollment will be available on a first-come, first-served basis while task order funding remains available.
